Into Provence • Lavender Fields • Sunset Shoot

We begin the day bright and early, heading to one of our most magical and secret sunrise locations. There’s nothing quite like mornings in Provence. The air is warm and fragrant with lavender, and as the sun rises behind the distant Alps, the fields come alive in waves of purple, gold, and morning mist. It’s a peaceful, unforgettable way to experience and photograph this iconic landscape.

After the shoot, we return to the hotel for some well-earned rest followed by a relaxed Provençal breakfast in the cozy hotel surroundings. You’ll then have some free time to enjoy the pool, unwind in the lounge, or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a short trip into Valensole village (just 5 minutes away) to explore, pick up souvenirs, or try the famous lavender ice cream.

In the early afternoon, we’ll meet for a late lunch followed by our first photo editing session—a chance to review your sunrise shots, refine your process, and prepare for the afternoon ahead. We’ll also hold a short model photography briefing, offering tips and creative direction for working with natural light and posing in the landscape.

Then it’s time to head back out for our first model shoot among the lavender rows. As the light softens into golden hour, you’ll photograph beautiful portraits framed by vibrant colors and soft textures. As the shoot continues, we’ll enjoy a picnic-style dinner and drinks right beside the field, soaking in the Provençal magic.

As sunset approaches, the field transforms once more—offering even more chances to capture powerful, poetic images.
