Valensole — Lavender Dreams of Provence
Few places in the world capture summer light quite like Valensole. Perched on a gentle plateau surrounded by endless fields of lavender and golden wheat, this quiet Provençal village becomes a sea of colour and scent from June to July. It’s one of the most photographed landscapes in France — a place where time slows down, cicadas sing, and the sky burns soft pink at dawn.
For photographers, Valensole is pure magic: pastel tones, soft morning haze, and rows of lavender.
